If the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts hosts one of its food and wine events, GO!
I went to a Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic in 2019 and it was the best food/wine event I have ever attended, and I attend a lot!
The event is typically held in the fall, but this year the resort is having a spring event. The Swan and Dolphin Spring Food & Wine Classic is Saturday, April 17. The limited-ticket, outdoor event will have unlimited food and beverage tastings as well as live music.
From 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., you can feast on 12 different food stations from the resort’s amazing restaurants. There also will be more than 50 beverage selections.
The cost is $125 per person, but you can make a weekend out of it with room packages starting at $400 for two adults.
I personally love this resort because the location is my favorite place in Walt Disney World. You’re steps away from Disney’s Boardwalk and you can walk to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You also can go for a ride on one of the Disney boats that go to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.
My children’s favorite part about the resort is it’s within walking distance to a Skyliner station. Taking a ride on the Skyliner is one of the best free things to do at Walt Disney World.
I digress. Back to the Swan and Dolphin Spring Food & Wine Classic.
Here are some of the items you can taste at the event.
- Sweet & smokey St. Louis style smoked ribs with macaroni & cheese from Executive Chef Dan Herman’s Smokin’ D’s BBQ
- Salt roasted prime NY strip loin with roasted marble potatoes, onion purée and truffle veal jus from Shula’s Steak House
- Vegetarian bao filled with glazed savory jack fruit, green onion, and ginger served in Chinatown themed area
- Shrimp & Grits with sautéed Gulf shrimp, buttered white corn grits and tasso ham gravy from Todd English’s bluezoo
